Mr. Lightman is a U.S. trained lawyer who received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School located in New York City and is a member in good standing of the Bar of the State of New York. Mr. Lightman is also a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (www.AILA.com).  It should also be noted that Mr. Lightman has been listed as an immigration lawyer on the websites of both the British Consulate General at New York and the Consulate General of Canada in New York.

On the personal end, Mr. Lightman, a proud citizen of both the United States and Canada, has had quite a bit of exposure to U.S. immigration law. He is the son of green card holders (permanent residents), the grandson of eastern european immigrants and an international social worker (who at one time assisted refugees resettle in foreign countries throughout the world), and the loving fiance of a nonimmigrant visa holder. Mr. Lightman has also traveled and studied extensively throughout the world, making stops in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
